Some reviews of our Trip to Italy
We stayed in RIMINI. 49km from Bologna (Forli) Airport. Possible with train, which we heard is cheap.
We rented new Fiat Bravo 1.9 MultiJet diesel for 40Eur/day with italian T-Rent company in airport.
Rimini seems like hotels town. www.Tripadvisor.com has 220 hotels in Rimini! But definetly more. Mostly 3 or 4 stars.
We choose
Hotel POLO (4stars) www.hotelpolo.it/uk Skype: hotelpolo
Hotel Polo Viale Vespucci 23, 47900 Rimini (Rn) Tel +39.0541.51180
Advantages :
Free parking (inside),
Free Broadband ~2.5Mb/s (Upload 256kb/s) (possible Wi-Fi),
long time breakfast 7:00-12:00,
Beds are very good for rest.
.
Read Area information here (Room with Jacuzzi Bath 99Eur): http://www.booking.com/hotel/it/polo-rimini.html?label=gog235jc;sid=55c6cceb711a7479368945bf57a53795 (Delphinarium (~0.5km from hotel) was not working)
Very thanks to hotel staff to leave us in the same room with Jacuzzi bath as we booked through http://bookinhotels.com/ rooms for next days for 42Eur/day
Disadvantages:
Booking.com was advertising discount from 537Eur decreased to 99Eur. It would be interesting to see paid somebody such money or not. For me it is clear trick with discounts, showing, that customers stupid people. Shame!
Breakfast last 2 of 3 days couldn't offer green salads at all
No bikes rental (as described)..said not season, no Gym, Tennis, mini Golf (as described)
==================================================
We experienced weather without wind, mostly cloudy, hot 16-24 degrees.
Beaches are private and we read info, that need to pay, but out of season we understand possible be there whatever you want. We walked no problems.
We would vote for "Italy in Miniature", choice No 1. bar/pub Rock Island was not working and wouldn't be our No.1 even if it work.

Try roasted conker if you will see. Italian old man close to Rock Island pub was giving even a little wine for free.
Bologna (Forli) airport was great for visiting Imola Grand Prix racing area, San Marino republic (800-1000m over sea level, see photo with bottle), Bologna (we didn't like here as we walked in old town and found everything expensive) aswell.
Attention to Italy people: too much visible, that you don't like English speaking customers. We understand that it is difficult, when you don't know English. Go to San Marino to train yourself how customers are treated. We thought, that French people are arogantic with their French language...
I smiled to find only cabins in man toilets... no separate urinals! ... privacy overvalued privacy! Can i choose not to wait in queues, but to use urinal?? :)
Seriuosly would recommended this area to start visit Italy. Especially for
Italia in Miniatura (little Italy)...not only for an incredible journey through the architectural wonders from Italy and Europe. For the same 18Eur ticket you can get riding with boats through water channels, science tricks museum, unbelievible Fly to air (with mini "spacecraft" capsule)...see video... and some other rides through park.
